Welcome to Propel Adult Literacy!
Propel's New Mexico Adult Literacy Professional Development and Learning Project is the professional learning provider for adult education and adult literacy programs funded through the New Mexico Higher Education Department. Propel Adult Literacy serves adult literacy programs in the state.
Our Vision
The vision of PropelNM is an adult education system in New Mexico where practitioners are valued and fairly compensated for their professional knowledge, skills, and experience and where learner outcomes are supported by transformative, collaborative, and effective professional learning.
Propel Adult Literacy envisions a New Mexico where literacy programs are fully supported, equipped with continuous education, and respected for their role in helping adults acquire the literacy skills needed to achieve their goals.
Our Mission
The mission of PropelNM is to provide relevant, high-quality professional learning that is grounded in current research and best practices to increase professionalism and build capacity among NM adult education practitioners and support improved services for learners and their communities.
Propel Adult Literacy supports New Mexico’s literacy programs by offering professional learning and guidance, sharing resources, fostering collaboration, and raising community awareness about adult literacy.
What We Do
Literacy programs have access to annual conferences, institutes, webinars, asynchronous courses, and more.
Literacy programs can request program visits, technical support, and individualized support and training from the literacy team.
Propel Adult Literacy manages a resource hub and repository for New Mexico literacy programs.
